"Rocky" is a great horse! Over the summer, he's had 90 days of professional training and trail experience. He is extremely willing to go anywhere you point him. Even on the first time ever encountering a new obstacle.
He is not spooky at anything. Calm laid back, smooth gaited, with some speed, extremely sweet, and he does it ALL. There isn't anything this horse will not do. No vices.
He has been trail ridden in the mountains, over long high bridges, through running rivers, tied overnight to a picket line, in an arena, ridden after dark, the list goes on and on. He may be young, but he has a level head to do anything.
If your'e looking for a tall, sweet, smooth, calm horse, that does anything you ask, this is your horse!!

Stands still for mounting and dismounting. Very laid back. Will dog walk all day. But, he also has a very nice smooth slow amble gait. Would be good for a novice rider, EXCEPT he needs to be collected to stay in gait. Most novice riders wouldn't know how to do that. Some more time under saddle, and he will stay in gait. He just needs more time there. I'm sure he could be ridden by any confident child rider. He just has a great confident way about him.
He is (as all of our horses are) UTD on everything. Stands for farrier, stalls quietly, loads, unloads, ties, bathes, comes in when called, and loves being brushed or fooled with. Low man in the herd. Stays out of trouble. Doesn't bother any other horse. He is just a SWEETIE!

With his size and smooth forward saddle gait, he would be an excellent man's horse. He will dog walk when asked, but he will also gait on down the trail without loosing stamina. He has been on 5-6 hour trail rides, and can go all day, and all weekend. An EXCELLENT, fun trail horse!!!
Goes through any type of water, including moving rivers, over logs, bridges, will lead, follow, stalls quietly, loads and unloads calmly, ties to a picket line (overnight), bathes, stands for farrier, UTD on everything. Always first to come from the pasture!! LOVES people.

What can I say???? I really don't want to let this one go.
I really just want to thin my herd down. If some of our others move before him, I'll be able to keep him. I LOVE this colt. He is personable, sweet, PRETTY, gorgeous head, eyes, and ears!! Straight clean legs, perfect hooves, rooster tail, curious, good hip and shoulder, high headed, and naturally gaits everywhere.

Ali is out of our fully certified Rocky Mountain/Kentucky Mountain mare, Lacy and a black tobiano (homozygous) Spotted Mountain/Foxtrotter stallion, E.C. ,who does not foxtrot, but rather he single-foot gaits. Both parents are wonderful, smooth trail horses. With both parents also having excellent willing dispositions.
This filly will lead, walk over tarps, over a wooden platform (similar to a bridge), and stand for the farrier. All at 4 mos. of age. She is a registered Spotted Mountain Horse.
Ali is also out of our mare Lacy, who has been tested by U.C. Davis, and confirmed to carry 2 copies of the silver gene. This means that Ali, carries one copy of the silver gene. She CAN reproduce spotted chocolates!!! Think of the possibilties!!!!!!
